The Missing opened at the Tramway last night to a fantastic welcome. The show is a series of encounters that retraces and reanimates the final journeys of sons, daughters, sisters and childhood friends; the missing. Video was produced on a semi-transparent LED wall which moves up and down the auditorium.

I made this short for milliner Justin Smith's new 2011 collection in association with Guoman hotels - he made five different designs to be worn by doormen at the five London hotels. All sounds in the accompanying track are made from actual workshop sounds recorded on the day, and composed by Tony Wade at Sixteen.

This opened on Tuesday at the Theatre Royal Haymarket, directed by Trevor Nunn and starring Ralph Fiennes and Nicholas Lyndhurst. Various layers of projection through gauzes to give everything a semi-transparent feel.

Singin' in the Rain opened last night in Chichester to fantastic reviews - Daily Mail (*****), the Guardian (****) praised the 'exceptionally well done' video, and What's on Stage (****) say that it 'the clever video work...made the most of the medium and captures the awkwardness of the era'. Lovely.

I put together a little video system for Mr Tom last week, and sent young Leo out to crew it. We built some plinth/lightboxes housing LED fixtures and projectors, projecting a live camera rig onto one, two or three projection screens (depending on the size of the venue). Spent Monday in Manchester finishing off the build, and found some great photos from the Heaven show last night. They're off to Europe next week..

The Good Actor was an interactive theatre piece at Hoxton Hall, taking groups of audience members through stage preparation. We filmed each group, edited them in seven minutes, and then built their performance footage into a documentary piece by the time they walked into a later part of the installation. WIP: What a busy weekend

We've spent Easter weekend filming. First up was the film shoot for the upcoming Freerun - a show featuring 3Run created for the touring Udderbelly tent this summer. We shot on RED on the Southbank on day one, and then a studio shoot on day two.

We then spent a day shooting TWO music videos for the upcoming Evans The Death doule A side release on Fortuna Pop. Again, with the RED cam, we shot the video for 'Threads' in a disused grain silo in Essex, and the video for 'I'm so Unclean' in the surrounding countryside. Here's some of the stills.

VIDEO DESIGN: A Midsummer Night's Dream

Just finished the video design for Headlong Theatre's production of A Midsummer Night's Dream in Southampton. It's in Southampton for two more weeks, then goes around the country. Set on a 60s epic film lot, we recreated some peroid footage for the opening scenes of the film.

Flashdance - The Musical recently opened in the West End, with my video design. It's a new production based on the 2008 touring version, but this was the first time they used video. We built a little greenscreen studio in one of the theatre bars so that we could keep adding things throughout the five week production period.

Last night, Beautiful Burnout opened in Edinburgh. It's a new play by Bryony Lavery about the world of amateur boxing, produced by the National Theatre of Scotland and Frantic Assembly. I designed the video wall, made up of 21 LCD TVs and including animations and footage filmed on RED cam.

The Independent said that "the show's creative team have designed a multimedia backdrop that is both vibrantly pulsing and poetically expressionistic. On a giant bank of TV monitors, a sweat-spattered black glove pounds in and out of focus, glittering like a star-spangled night sky."

Bunny, by Jak Thorne, one of the writers of Skins, has opened at the Edinburgh fringe festival. I worked with Jenny Turner's illustrations to produce a completely animated backdrop for the monologue at the Underbelly's Iron Belly venue. Running until the end of August.

Opened on 17/03, The Gods Weep is a new play by Dennis Kelly produced by the Royal Shakespeare Company at Hampstead Theatre. I co-designed with Finn Ross, and we created this giant wall of images that reacts to the sound of the actors' voices, via hidden microphones in the set.

The Kreutzer Sonata did really well at the Gate Theatre in Notting Hill. So well, in fact, that it got extended until Christmas. Some reviewers were very nice about the projections.
